The Brain on Play:
Neurobiologically Informed Approaches to Play Therapy

Phase I: 3 CEs Webinar
* This training counts as 3 hours of APT Approved Training
Trainer: Rachel Hanks, MSW, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist

As a play therapist, many of our clients, children to adults, have experienced overwhelming amounts of pain and distress during those crucial years of brain development. By taking a deeper dive into the brain, we will better understand how traumatic experiences can affect a person's ability to regulate and function in the playroom and beyond. In this training, participants will learn various play-based techniques to activate different parts of the brain to promote healthy development. Participants will also identify ways to help clients (and ourselves!) integrate simple neurobiologically-informed play therapy practices into a daily routine.
